Keyword Intent Classifier

About Keyword Intent Classifier

Search intent is why someone types a query: to learn, to compare, to find a site, or to buy. Google ranks pages that match the intent behind the query. Our free Keyword Intent Classifier sorts your keywords into the four intent types automatically.

Paste your keywords one per line. The tool scans for intent signals (buy, best, how to, login, near me, and more) and labels each keyword as Informational, Commercial, Navigational, or Transactional, with counts and percentages.

The four search intents

  • Informational: "how to brew coffee" - the searcher wants to learn. Serve guides and tutorials.
  • Commercial: "best espresso machine" - the searcher is comparing before buying. Serve reviews and comparisons.
  • Navigational: "starbucks locations" - the searcher wants a specific site or place. Serve location and brand pages.
  • Transactional: "buy coffee beans online" - the searcher is ready to act. Serve product and checkout pages.

Use this tool to plan content that matches what searchers actually want, not just what they type.
